.: West Lamar Water Association History

The West Lamar Water Association (WLWA) was formed by several citizens of our community who were concerned about having a clean and dependable water supply.

WLWA received a State of Mississippi Charter of Incorporation on the "13th day of October A. D. 1971". The charter was signed by Governer John Bell Williams and Secretary of State Heber Ladner.

The incorporators were:

• Mr. D. U. Whiddon
• Mrs. Clyde Lott
• Mr. Delbert E. Sumrall
